I don't think I'm ever going to find the one for me. You see people in relationships that can only be described as perfect; holding each other through the night, communicating, only having eyes for each other. So why can't I have that? I get stuck with the guys who are manipulators, have eyes for other women and disrespect me like there's no tomorrow.
Movies make you think there are guys as perfect as the ones on screen, the ones that would go around the whole world just to find something their S/O loves. The ones who show up with random gifts or make playlists with songs that remind them of the relationship they have. The ones who will go out of there way to protect what matters most to them. Their S/O.
So why is the reality of things so different? Why are boys cheating? Why are they putting their girlfriends down just to make themselves feel better? Why do they think its acceptable behaviour to disrespect their girlfriends.
I'm not saying all guys are like that, but the ones around me and the ones in my area think they're so unbelievably ethereal. They think dating multiple girls at the same time is cool. News Flash: it makes you a disgrace.
I want someone who loves me for who I am, for what I like and for my personality. I want someone who plans dates based on what we both like, buys me things 'just because' or brings me flowers 'just because'. But in this reality it seems almost impossible.
