Shin kamen Rider has such an excellent portrayal of loneliness it's actually insane. Like each of the protagonists is lonely in their own way so I'll make individual sections for them. Also while writing this I noticed all 3 of them share the fact that they don't understand humans so I only mentioned it in Hongo's section. The writing might not be that good, however I watched the movie like 7 times now so I feel like It's alright to talk about it this deeply even if I lack the words for ir..
Oh and one more thing, this is my first post on here and low-key idk how it works yet. I've never used sites like this before.
Takeshi Hongo/Kamen rider 1:
Hongo is a college student who isolated himself from other people after the passing of his father, partly blaming himself for what happened. His only hobby is motorcycle's. Something he and the rest of the main characters connect with in one way or another. While he does get support throughout the movie, the loneliness is still there. Especially since he was augmented without his consent and basically forced to fight against shocker. He feels like no one truly understands him because of that. He even himself States that he doesn't understand people. But he tries to. Because he views compassion as one of the most important human traits.
Takeshi Hongo made a promise to be as compassionate as his father but use his strength to help people unlike his father did. Another thing I feel like is an important detail is how Hongo visibly shakes throughout the movie. The shaking only being gone at the end once he's accepted his reality. After all he knew that he'd live on within the helmet. Alongside ichimonji and Ruriko.
Ruriko Midorikawa:
I sadly don't have as much to say because I'm pretty sure she gets expanded more in the manga and I'm only 3/87 chapters in. HOWEVER She feels isolated from her family. She didn't meet her mother. Hell she was born from an artificial womb. She also didn't get along with her father because he was more focused on his work than his family, Which stems from the fact that he went fully into his work after his wife died. She only got along with ichiro, her brother. However that relationship also deteriorated due to their different views on life. She also like Hongo isolates herself from others. The only friend she has was also a part of shocker. Which she also had to cut ties with when leaving shocker. Ruriko also hides her emotions. She never allows herself to be vulnerable around anyone. This only breaking once the only friend she had died. She also kinda bonded with Hongo over motorcycles because she was also fond of them. Something that only happened because of her family.
Hayato Ichimonji/Kamen Rider 2:
Ichimonji was a reporter before being taken and augmented by shocker. His philosophy was one of "if you expose evil, all of humanity would benefit." However despite being a reporter, he loved being alone. Or at least he thought he did. After meeting Hongo and they became the double riders, he said "this finally feels right." Ichimonji yearns to be part of something. Even if he lies about it and says he doesn't want to be part of the heard. He like every other human yearns to be loved. However there is still truth to his words of preferring to be alone. After all he claims to love motorcycles because you can truly feel free on them in the isolation with the wind against your body. Ichimonji I wanna say also hides his feelings. Unlike Ruriko who put up a façade of being emotionless. He puts up a façade of happiness. Acting all happy until he is isolated again.

Never heard of this movie but your analysis is cool. Gonna try and find it online later today
It's available on Amazon prime!!! The pacing might throw you off a bit cause the episodic version was definitely kept more in mind when making it but it might be one of the best superhero movies in a while.
