Conflicted on religion and spirituality

Does anyone else identify as atheist but grew up christian but are curious about religions? I kind of want a spiritual connection with something but some christians annoy me to no end and the religion is very bigoted (I'm bi so I know they don't want me there) and also, I've said things in the past that would make me a hypocrite if I now suddenly decided to follow a religion. However, I have practiced witchcraft before so I guess I am spiritual in a way. But I say things like "Oh yeah grown adults believing in fairytales" when I get mad about christians being bigoted so again that would make me hypocritical. Idk guys am I going through a midlife crisis at 18? lmao.

Kinda curious about paganism and theistic satanism.

You live in California, so the pagan, wiccan, etc. stuff would be a good fit. Funnily enough, because one of my former best friends was atheist, I vowed to convert to Judaism (or even Orthodox Christianity) if I found out she had become any kind of Christian. Fortunately, I ended up not having to do that--because she, her friends, and family threatened to SWAT me.

Ultimately, I feel like your faith is going to be defined by your community and/or romantic partner. Ironically, it's also a lot easier to adhere to your beliefs when you're by yourself.

Thank you for the advice. I think that I feel a pull to discover paganism and of course continue my witchcraft journey. I am just kinda afraid of what other people might say.

I think its totally fine to have your own way of viewing religion. And being courious about different religions is awesome! I even believe that is better than not researching things.
Things in the past is past, the present is what matters the most. Life is change, and changing opinions on things is completely normal.

Thank you! I think sometimes I'm really just too hard on myself.
