market hotel in NYC is the biggest flop of a venue ever

It's the kind of place youre too cool for, even if youre 18

It's one big room with the world's worst DJ and a big, huge cloud puff of smoke. No one talks to each other, everyone is guarded, and 

oh my god their dj is awful! 

I went once, and they mixed... I kid you not.. Ribs by Lorde, transitioned into like Anaconda (i actually can't remember the exact song, but it was something equally as ridiculous), MID VERSE BTW like soooo abrupt 

I tried to complain about it but all the manager did was give me a blank stare. IDC for a 30 dollar ticket?? bro you better be spinning back to back bangers.

They have themed nights, but they actually just play the same things over and over again. I think its a playlist in all honesty. Its always MGMT, some of those 2010s indie rock bangers like two door cinema club, and then like whatever was big in the Tumblr days.

 Its so so over hyped because kids ultimately just want a place to stunt. There's no whe for real alternative kids to hang but those "new" alt kids also dont know that you have to invest in NEW artists, you cant just keep nostalgia mining the artists you invested in at 14 for the rest of your life. 

you have to contiously discover! if they followed really cool new music and artists then they could discover cool venues with the kind of music they like. 

Alt kids are so lazy, the alt community in NYC is so lazy, no ones hungry for anything anymore.
