before anyone says it- im well aware that making spacehey the next big platform could backfire entirely. despite the recent chaos, i quite like this community, and i genuinely want to see it thrive. i think in this day and age, social media is too invasive- user data constantly gets leaked or bought without user concern, stalking is weirdly normalized on tiktok, and everyone can reverse image-search anyone to find them online. i know that spacehey becoming the next big platform could come with multiple risks- the community could drastically change, companies could try to force investment in the site that could lead to user data being abused, or (in a similar case to tiktok) outright getting banned in some countries due to the ability for users to express their opinons on government affairs more freely. in addition, ive mentioned this before (moreso on bulletins) but there's certain people who stalk my tiktok that don't have SpaceHey, nor are they aware i have SpaceHey, and because of this if i talk about them, i talk about them here through my bulletins, and saying "we should all join this cool platform" on my tiktok (while simultaneously plugging my profile on said cool platform) could easily give them access to my page. however, i can also see that there's much potential in spacehey becoming a bigger platform- people can make new friends with common interests, form new communities amongst each other, and potentially bring more fun to the internet as a whole. so, against all potential better judgement...
honestly, i get the feeling tiktok might try supressing the post- i already experienced them trying to delete text on half the slides, because i preemptively sent them to an alt to check, lol. but if you're in support of spacehey growing as a community, i'd love to see some support!! if you're interested, leave a comment about some fun experiences you had on here to spread the word :)

id rlly like that, spacehey gives u a lot of privacy and for the most part u decide what information it has on you

yes because its a fun creative space with no algorithm slop and the more people who embrace that and have fun doing so, the better but then again
no because its already got a relatively stable user base, is moderately active, and there's not a great deal in terms of improvement
(other than not having notifs for new forum/group posts - that would be a much welcomed feature tbh)

I'd say the site is as big as it should be. New blogs pop up every 2 minutes,people still join,(i literally joined 5 days ago lol) and overall people are just active. I think thats enough for now
im not saying we should gatekeep spacehey,but i think we should stop promoting it too much
its pretty new for a social media site too (4? years)
so overall i think it's good like this. Not too popular,not too dead

As someone who’s beginning to understand the true meaning of the platform, having it go mainstream would most definitely ruin it. In the same breath, I’d love to get more users on who want to share their opinions/projects with the community.
