Hey!
Have you seen the January 1st 2026. movement on social media? Are you tired of corporations and AI controlling your technology? Do you like physical media and old tech? This is perfect for you!
The January 1st 2026 movement is about us to switch back to physical media and old tech starting January 1st 2026 with the purpose of building a better relationship with the technology we use.
Alot of people say this is unrealistic, but it's seriously possible. I am trying to build a community of people who are committed or maybe just interested into January 1st 2026. Maybe you have already started or are wanting to little by little over the year.

Possible but I'm tired of expensive. And oh, I'm not tech savvy, none of us are in fact. We are the smart phone generation. We lose our mental peace over incompatible fonts. FONTS!!!!!!!!
And I come from a developing country. It's harder to find those alternatives that WORK.
I wanna do this movement but I'm at my wits end

i think i'll stick to using my 10 year old iphone 6s instead
for me its the perfect blend of old and new. it's from a time when companies sold products,not status.
the protective screen is cracked and ''peeling away'',the home button doesnt work,and it barely has enough storage for whatsapp,youtube and about 1.2k photos.
yet,it still feels like its full of life,it's still hanging on even though its got a hundred problems.
and that lowkey makes me feel hopeful.
and if i HAVE to upgrade,i'll probably get an iphone 7 instead of the newer models. i want my phone to last AT LEAST 5 years. not 1.

i hate it when the ENTIRE front of the phone is the screen
they kinda look like those old box tv's if you know what im sayin,makes you feel like youre actually watching from one of those. i luv it

cant even use the button on mine,as i said it broke :(
i still use it as a fidget tho lol
thankfully they thought of that,you can have a little menu on the screen with all the functions of the button,i've gotten so used to it that,if i had a new phone id probably use that instead of the button lolz
