I have trouble sleeping...

I have trouble sleeping...it’s nothing new. Every night it’s the same thing: I can’t fall asleep until late, and I always wake up early.
Last night was no different. I got ready for bed around 11 p.m. I waited to call my girlfriend, like I always do, to make sure she got home safe from work. It’s a short walk, but it makes her feel better when I stay on the phone. After we said goodnight, my eyes started to feel heavy.
By 11:50, I’d switched my YouTube video to something funny...I can’t remember what exactly. Probably a CoryxKenshin or Zach Beale TV video. I got comfortable in bed, scrolling through TikTok until it hit midnight.
My eyes could barely stay open… and then, boom — I was out.
I remember the faint glow from my TV at the foot of my bed and my monitor to the left, still on the Xbox home screen. The room wasn’t pitch black.
Then I fell asleep.
I don’t remember how the dream started but I remember how it ended. Oh, I remember that part vividly.
I was joking with someone, though I can’t recall who. Then things got… strange.
I was trying to comfort them about something when they said, “He can see you too now.”
A chill shot down my spine.
I looked around but they were gone. Everything was gone. The person, the place… everything.
I stood in complete darkness. A void.
Cold. Suffocating.
Then I saw them a pair of eyes, far in the distance. They didn’t blink. They just watched. Tracked me.
My stomach twisted. I felt sick. My body hurt. I couldn’t look away I’m not even sure I could have if I wanted to.
Then, the eyes vanished.
Silence.
But something felt wrong like I was being hunted. Minutes passed. My breathing grew louder.
And then the eyes reappeared. This time, right in front of me.
They were massive each one the size of my head. I could see veins running through them. The whites were gray and lifeless, the pupils pure black.
It laughed.
The sound echoed off unseen walls, jagged and unnatural. It scraped at my mind worse than nails on a chalkboard. My knees buckled. I fell, throwing up into the dark.
The laughter stopped.
I looked up and there it was.
Hovering above me. Smiling.
A grin stretched far beyond human, pulled taut toward its eyes. I swear something was holding it up, but I couldn’t see what.
My heart pounded so hard it hurt.
It leaned closer. I couldn’t breathe.
Then it spoke:
“There is no God to save you from me.”
Its voice sent me into sheer panic.
I woke up in a cold sweat, heart racing, chills crawling down my spine. Its eyes were still there burned into my mind.
The room was pitch black.
I fumbled for my phone, but couldn’t find it. I didn’t dare close my eyes. Somehow, I knew that if I went back to sleep… I wouldn’t wake up.
Finally, I found my phone and turned it on. The brightness stabbed at my eyes. When my vision cleared, I saw the TV glowing faintly by my feet and my monitor still dim on the Xbox home screen. It was 4:01 a.m.
I lay there, staring at the ceiling, frozen. My heart wouldn’t slow down.
Then that laugh again.
And behind my eyelids, every time I blinked, I saw those eyes.
I’m scared...I know he's watching.
