i am not excited for the nso anime

tagging under games even though im talking about the show sorry

seriously though every time something gets a show adaptation the fanbase INSTANTLY becomes annoying as hell and full of pretentious twelve year olds who shouldnt even be online. i guess the nso fanbase is already shitty and full of those stupid preteens anyway, but i just KNOW its gonna get worse after this. like, the summer hikaru died's fanbase immediately became INSUFFERABLE after the anime was released. 

also fans aside, it's probably not even gonna be good content wise?? adapting a game to a show is SO hard to get right, especially one like nso that doesnt even have a linear story. and so many of the most important elements of the game's world, ame-chan/kangel's character, etc. are revealed through gameplay and just couldn't be adapted to screen. are they gonna do something stupid like the manga and just make up a whole new universe/storyline? honestly, i don't even think the manga is that good. i like the art, but the whole premise SUCKS. nso is something that only works as a game.

and dont even get me started on how CENSORED it's probably gonna be. since it's a tv anime and stuff, its probably gonna get sanitized to hell and back, which in turn will COMPLETELY destroy the core of the media. i guess the fact that they used overdose instead of overload in the title is a good sign, maybe it won't be TOO clean? but my hopes aren't high. also, i've had enough of my favorite series ruined by shitty anime adaptations to be enthusiastic anymore.

but the music will probably be good, so. there's that i guess. small consolation prize.
