Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

It's been a while since I finished Prince of Persia: the lost crown

overall I enjoyed the game despite not being great at any action based video game

with each boss fight I thought I'd have to give up but the storyline kept me hooked enough to put in the hours to eventually beat them all

the setting was cozy and atmospheric and not too fantastical for me. it had just the right amount of magic and the elements of the muslim world that came through really made it quite comforting.

after finishing the main plot I couldn't bring myself to complete the side quests I'd abandoned, this seemed like useless effort since there was nothing to progress for and my skills were lacking. I'd tired myself with endless practice of each boss fight to the point where any more effort was a wasted chore on this game.

I also had my game language set to French, which was useful for familiarising with game based language but not for reading full stone tablets set with instructions for each task

I definitely could have changed it back to English but then again: I wasn't bothered

I don't like putting too much effort into anything, such is my personality.

I played this game for the plot, and made my way through each battle to continue the plot only

and the plot didn't disappoint

characters were well developed:

Sargon carried a great amount of angst and determination, and he wasn't bad looking either

he had chivalry about him which made his story admirable. a man fighting tirelessly for the prince of his kingdom doesn't disappoint a teenage girl

my favourite boss fight has to be Jahandar, first of all, a great name, and secondly, given this fight was quite early on in the story, he wasn't too difficult to beat. I mainly followed the same strategy repeatedly to win my attacks on him and it worked well enough that actually this is a fight I returned to even after the plot was finished with him

the universe created here wasn't too twisted to make it confusing but had enough going on to make it hella interesting and there's definitely enough to keep looking around without getting bored

I bought this game on a whim while I was staying in Paris last year ('24) and spent countless nights staying up till 4am to keep playing. it really had me intrigued. As I said, I hate effort but I put the hours in for this which shows how well thought out it was

Prince of Persia, I could do with a sequel

this was a good game. worth my money.
