"Mirror"

God is a mirror

Reflecting our desires

For something more

Deflecting my love to fire

Reflecting my hate

deeper into pandemonium

with fire and brimstone of my love of yore

my heart crushed, my lungs depressed

my mind wanders to your eternal rest

O my God, I did my best

why did you take her from me?

"Quoth The Heart"

Her love is mine forevermore

Her breaths on mine, oh nevermore

King of kings, bereft and scorned

Pawn of pawns, forevermore

Your glorious light once shined the way

O queen of queens, why not stay?

I am but a Jester in this play

My life a comedy, forevermore

God's golden rays

Shine on me so brightly

Yet his divine touch

Caresses me so lightly;

God's greatest challenges

Saved for those so mighty

why does that God abandon me nightly?

A macabre display

holds me at bay

and to my dismay

I cannot look away

--for it is me.

You were blue

I was red

I was breathless

you are now, too. 

I am blue

You are red

My love has much less breadth

now that you're dead.
