hiii!! it's been a while (ᵕ • ᴗ •)!!
sooooo...it's been about a year since my last blog post, so whoever is reading this, hello again!! or hello to anyone else checking out my blog ^,...,^!!!
reading over my last blog post sort of makes me cringe ><'!! however, it's kinda cool seeing how past nicole was so nervous about the future and turning TWENTY ( ˶°ㅁ°) !! but i am happy to report back that i am doing better than ever!!! <3
so many things have happened in the past year and i am eternally grateful for such a wonderful start to my 20s!! (or twenTEENs as i like to call it (>ᴗ•)!!!) i got to experience so many things this year + my biggest accomplishment: FACING MY FEARS AND GOING TO UNIVERSITY!!
in case you didn't know, i wasn't rlly sure what i wanted to do with the rest of my life :'D so i ended up taking 2 gap years (yes two..)!! however, this year i decided to study communications and i can say it has been one of the best decisions i've ever made. i've been enjoying all my classes and although i have only made ONE friend, i love how flexible uni life is ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚exams are over too so this feels like a huge accomplishment~~~ !!! ^_^
i was really hesitant to go into communications because of the negative stereotypes associated with it being the "easiest" degree; however, I find everything to be super interesting, manageable, and the future career paths super fun!! i really want to go into marketing/PR (since comm/marketing/PR degrees are very versatile and intersect, getting one sort of becomes a gateway into those realms of jobs!!) ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ
now for another highlight this year... JAPAN!! ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵)
i finally got to visit my family in japan and explore a bunch of different cities and places!! i visited shibuya crossing (and shibuya 109, the clothes were to die for!!!), okinawa (i played jjk music the entire time..and even got to visit the aquarium!!), nikko, kyoto (wore kimonos there w/ my mom and visited the rilakkuma tea house/miffy bakery!!), among other places!!
i also got to visit my friends in calgary!!! i do this every year, but being able to see my best friends after a year of being apart is always so rewarding, we went to the stampede a lot and ate lots of yummy dishes!! ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა ♡
finally to wrap things up... i got to see BEABADOOBEE (∩˃o˂∩)♡(∩˃o˂∩)♡(∩˃o˂∩)♡!!!!!!!
if u know anything about me, beabadoobee is my top artist at all!!! i'm also top 15 on the f.m. charts (i believe i dropped down to 13th place, but i used to be 5th back in 2021!!), i've been listening to her since i was 15 so seeing her was truly life changing!! i screamed so hard, and got middle barricade!! i met so many awesome people at the concert and other die-hard fans who were crazy enough to line up 12 hours before the show.. but nevertheless it is a night i will never forget!! ♡♡♡
i also got to see bubble tea and cigarettes + ichiko aoba + the marias!! slow year for concerts :'D
oh and i also got to see LAUFEY <3 for the third time!! my friend from calgary flew out to vancouver and stayed with me in october and it was so fun having someone to go out to cute cafes with and fangirl with!!
thank u for listening to me ramble on and on about my year; i know i haven't been active but i still absolutely adore spacehey (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)♡ who knows when i'll post next, but i hope if you've read this far, happy holidays and happy (almost) new year!! hopefully next year will be filled with more memories and exciting adventures for all of us ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა˖⁺‧₊˚!!!!
