the first time I got chills from a story.

I was never really the type of person to get literal chills from media before I read this story. If you're wondering what the story is, it's called 'E is for Eternity'/SCP-7179 on the SCP wiki dot site. Please read it, it's only a 5-10 minute read.

I hope you read it because im going to spoil it. Anyways, the scariest thing about this story to me is that final line at the end of the log. "one second of eternity has passed." I know this line isn't original but still, I think it wraps the story up in a horrifying way because 1. it's only a second of eternity. All those years of trying to find something to do to stimulate himself (no, not in that way) just to keep busy, but in the end it doesn't matter, because it's eternity and you can only stave off boredom for so long. 2. It just makes everything Hiddleston did feel so...meaningless. I don't know how to describe it, really. It's just reading that line after all of that made my stomach drop honestly. I think its also because Hiddleston's suffering will never really end. that brings me to my third point, which is he's stuck here and you will be too.

In this story, every human who dies ends up on this island and can't leave, and also can't have any interaction besides the other humans (who don't even have free will or individuality), and they're just NPCs so he's basically alone. Another point in the story is the line where it says all theoretical particle permutations have been reached. That basically means that every particle has been in every position possible on the island. This man literally cannot have any new experiences. If I was him, I'd probably stop thinking too.

So I guess Hiddleston is just going to be laying on the island for all of eternity, probably like everyone else who ended up there. Crazy stuff man. Damn, I hope the after life isn't like that. Anyways 8/10 for me, personally.
