I got tired of looking at packet tracer. Decided to take a break from self study and personal projects, and instead indulge in other fun activities I could think of!
Just as I thought, my brain wasn’t that big. To take a break from staring at my computer screen, I went to spend more time staring at my computer screen— but to play games!
This started with the game, IT specialist simulator. read emails, read manuals, complete tasks, and make sure not to bring cables with you when you go home! NGLie it is quite rewarding (addicting) playing a game completing tasks, even if mundane, about a topic I am interested in. Once I got more familiar with the tasks and repetition, I decided to move on to another game, Tunnet. I do plan to play more of this game again in the future once they add more content. Since I played the game in its initial release, lots of features were still being built.
Now, Tunnet was sorta like a horror networking digging incremental game-ish? Connect endpoints and mainframes, which gets you money, which then gets you equipment to progress in the game. Equipped with fun NPCs and lore. Explore to collect pages to build your manual (IT Slenderman… you have to run or hide from the monsters too so you don’t die). Goal is to connect all mainframes, but I had to stop playing for a while cause it was making me feel claustrophobic and motion sick. Didn’t get too far, but will definitely play again once I get my hands on some scrumptious dramamine.
Finally, AWS cloud quest. I did the cloud practitioner role, and honestly was surprised about how much I learned. I was familiar with using EC2 from building web demos, but not to the extent that I know now. Love the hands-on labs! For each lab, you get a short summary of concepts and what you have to do, a practice section, then a DIY section. The DIY sections for the most part were simple, but you get to learn a lot from the practice sections! Moreover, I do plan on taking other role paths in the future and getting more pet friends! About the pet friends, you have to answer quiz questions to gain an animal’s trust. After completing the cloud practitioner lab tasks, I only managed to get one pet (lol) because I was too immersed with the labs.
Enter conclusion paragraph lalalala. I am too brain broken to write anymore or proofread. goodbye! have a good day! see you later!
