winter '25 vibes!

as a girl who LOVES to curate an aesthetic, I especially like to create a little vibe/story for each season. this winter, I want to share the vibes I have going, a shopping wishlist, and just a few other things that i'm having fun with!

the vibes

i saw this tiktok that said the user wants to be a fairy in spring, a mermaid in summer, a doll in fall, and a princess in winter. as a girl who loves anything pretty and fantasy, I couldn't agree more. this winter i've been trying to go for an anastasia, cinderella, beauty and the beast, and generally-princessy inspired aesthetic. i've got a Pinterest board for this winter's whole aesthetic, but here are some pictures that have been inspiring me!

shopping wishlist

here's just a list of a few things i'd like to thrift or otherwise get this season:

❅ sparkles and sequins---big sequins, little sparkles, I want it all! however I don't want sequins that look like you're going out to the club, i want them to look soft like a sugar plum fairy.

❅ vintage dresses---i've been yearning for liesl's dress from the gazebo scene in the sound of music since I first watched that movie. I just think that would be such a pretty holiday party dress! any other gorgeous old hollywood dresses, please make your way into my closet!

❅ ballet-esque shoes---i feel like these are self-explanatory. i'm being heavily influenced by the nutcracker this winter and obviously ballet slippers, heels, etc would be the perfect complement to my wardrobe.

❅ long tulle skirts---i want a long, straight tulle skirt that scrapes the floor and isn't poofy. it's so hard to find those, but i've saved so many on pinterest that I know I can find one!

❅ purple---there's a specific shade of purple i'm looking for. I want it to be deep and a bit earthy, but that's such a hard shade to find.

❅ puff sleeves---obviously.

❅ patterned tights---sparkles, lace patterns, florals, anything girly and pretty that'll hopefully also help keep me warm!

here's some things to do that I think totally embody this vibe:

❅ go to a ballet if you can, or watch one on youtube

❅ bake treats to share

❅ go ice skating

❅ take up watercolor painting to match the dreamy vibes of the outdoors

❅ try and make some pretty jewelry

❅ write love letters that you may or may not send

❅ try fancy hairstyles

❅ do some ballet stretches in your workout

❅ watch old princess movies that you might have loved as a child
