Book suggestions?

I'm looking to get back into reading but fiction really isn't my thing, even though reading fiction might make my own fiction writing better.

But right now I'm interested in non-fiction books, specifically history that isn't JUST American history. I'm currently reading "A concise history of France" and I wanna get into more books like those.

Now thinking about it.. Historical fiction might be nice to read. If yall have any of those to recommend, throw em at me too!
