first we acknowledge the good generative ai can do that humans cant. then we ramp up our game and beat ai like the awesome species we are!
ai can provide anonymous, decently well researched, adjusted, fast, and free responses based on the person whos shared a prompt with it. it can do all the work that 5 people with multiple bachelors degrees can do for free. the "free" ness is very crucial here, along with the nonjudgemental, non invasive, and most of all, quick and decently workable responses it gives us.
forget the privileged students and normal people who overuse ai, think of the rural women stuck in their horribly abusive families in towns where they have no access to any help or education. they can (and HAVE) used ai to vent and pour their tiny frustrations out, to which the ai can inform them about how theyre living through a human rights violation and how they can get out, because to alot of people, its easier to have access to a phone than to have basic human rights. and you must know, abused people are blocked from reaching out to others, or the people whom they can reach out to further tell them their condition is normal. they can also use this ai to help them draft letters to send to the police or something because neither can these people afford to get someone else do it for them nor are they educated enough to even be able to draft one by themself.
this is one of the best things generative ai can do for our society, and this is something we humans can do better if we can forge a way too. a platform completely annonymous, where you can write things in whatever language, whatever way you want to, and have someone help you out around it, infact multiple people can. we might need translators there as well though. most of all, it needs to be free. people should willingly be providing the best help they can for free there.
if yall think "but no one would be in favour of it if theyre getting nothing out of it" well then dont complain about generative ai. capitalist mindset, theres ALWAYS someone willing to do it for the sake of it. life isnt about profits and losses, its about doing what you like and are passionate about.
now, dealing with the priviledged public that use ai just to have a "personal agent" or some sort of shit, idk if it would really work or not, cus thats a more developmental reason to use ai, and that is a problem that could arise in the platform i mentioned above. it cannot replicate the exact security and exact sort of mindset that some chat based platform like chatgpt can. thats something we are gonna have to work on.. im sure theres a person out there smart enough to find a loophole
then the whole essay thingy, the "do my work" the "help me out in this problem" this one can REALLY benifit from a platform like that, because having real professional people try to help you out in some educational feild can really strengthen your own grasp on the subject and your own ability to think around it, and it is far better than using ai.
ofcourse theres always a fear of "getting recognised" in chat, which idk ill think about it later, there should be an obvious solution to that
although, all the human responses NEED to be for free, otherwise ai could easily be used for it.
the whole image generating thingg....
well thats kinda..
i genuinely dont know what else we can do other than boycott it.
but theres also one thing. ai going away is not a good thing, not because its "bad", but because its impossible.
now that we know what it takes to create a functional ai, its not going away, its only going to be hidden from the public. the most we can do is become independent and use the "opensource-ness" of it before its too late
idk im js a kid and i drank some funky juice a bit ago it was probably expired, and i felt called to write this outta nowhere. i hope this blog finds all the right people who give me all the right insights into this problem that my little head couldnt find.
how 2 combat generative ai idk this blog sucks
