Being a artist in the age of ai

this has to be hell. i get pinged for a commission for somebodies game. i show my price sheet. 15 dollars isnt crazy for a fully rendered piece (no watermark). “wtf thats insane i cant just ask ai for free” its like the 6th time this month. why do i even try, im taking all AP art courses and plan to go to art school. what is the point if nobody values my work above piss stained slop.

AmbitiousCat	1765874461 first off,i agree with the dude that commented the same thing 8 times. and secondly,this also hurts my field. im starting to regret studying IT,because by the time i graduate (and yet alone get a job),AI will probably be able to write it's own code. i still could get a job repairing computers,IT isnt just about coding. but i dont know what artists (both digital and traditional) are gonna do when everyone uses AI for GFX and VFX. hoping all goes well for you,that's all i can do.
