I got this TV for free on Facebook Marketplace. I think it's 28 or 32 inches. It's great for watching DVDs like this one above that are in the classic 4:3 format.
Why? This CRT TV allows me to be a more conscious watcher. If I want to watch something, I'll put on a DVD or check the TV schedule for a show I want to watch. I don't just watch the first brain rotting show on Netflix. It also doesn't track me every move like a smart TV.

I live a pretty far from the big city with the channel stations, but I can get all the main channels with a few adjustments to the antenna. Most CRTs were made before the digital broadcast switchover, so I needed to buy a DTV converter box to be able to get signal.

Here is a picture of some of my DVDs. I thrifited most of these for a buck or fifty cents each. But, I paid like five bucks each on eBay for some of the series DVDs like The Middle and Young Sheldon. Embarrassingly, I've spent 15-20 bucks each on the Televisa DVDs. They're pretty uncommon to find because they are Mexican shows, but I really like them and it's a price I'm willing to pay.
I really love my CRT TV. It looks cool and it makes sure I really want to watch what I watch.

nice setup! i have a couple small CRT TVs and some CRT computer monitors. i use the computer monitors with my modern setups, but the TVs i really only use as small screens for youtube or connecting cameras that have broken screens lol. i only have a few dvd's but i'm trying to only buy ones of shows/movies that i couldn't be bothered to pay to stream or can't find a free copy
Oooh that's cool! I've always wanted a smaller CRT but the retro gamers must always get to them before me on Facebook Marketplace because I always either can't find one or it's overpriced. ¯\_༼ ಥ ‿ ಥ ༽_/¯
