NaruSaku opinions pt 1

(ok so im about to post this and this actually turned out very messy and bad, so im prob gonna edit it anothet time but if you need clarification on anything please comment or dm!) 

Starting this to say ABSOLUTELY NO DISRESPECT TO NARUSAKU SHIPPERS, I love y'all and I have absolutely no moral issues with NaruSaku. They are my fav duo in Naruto- 

However, I REALLY don't enjoy NaruSaku and I want to explain why because I love writing out my rants and I looooove the blogging feature on spacehey. 

Basically, I (as in me, personally) really view (view as in that is how I see them, not how I think everybody does/should see them) NaruSaku as siblings. As a sister with a brother who is super close in age, I've never been able to see Naruto and Sakura as a romantic pairing, because to me they feel so familial. I believe Sakura never romantically liked Naruto, she always was interested in Sasuke and in my opinion just saw Naruto as a brother----- additionally, I do feel like Naruto always saw her as a sister, but didn't really understand how to differentiate between romantic and familial love for girls,, AS WELL as competition with Sasuke because Sakura loved Sasuke and Naruto wanted to be better than Sasuke, so imo Naruto believed he needed Sakura to love him as part of him surpassing Sasuke,, HOWEVER I DO UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT FULLY CANNON AND THIS IS JUST MY INTERPRETATION don't come at me.. 

Also, I also really relate to Sakura's experience as a girl with many male friends and growing older, because when I was little I mainly had male friends, and I remember the feeling of getting older and they slowly become much physically stronger and masculine, while I was more feminine, and to really feel like you're falling behind because of that-- the reason I bring this up is because although she felt this way about Sasuke too, I feel like this more applies to Naruto because she always knew Sasuke was more skilled than her AND I think Naruto is someone she always viewed as close and equal to her, like family, while Sasuke was different. Now that I'm writing this, I think I will edit this part later because I am not explaining it correctly tbh.. 

Anyway, finally, I just really view their interactions as siblings-like rather than romantic. I feel like Sakura acts around Naruto in a very casual and often mean way, like siblings, where she cares about him and has fun with him, but also is super bothered by him and often doesn't want to be around him-- also although both Naruto and Sakura are clearly closer to eachother than most other characters, they mostly interact the same as they would with the average person, rather than the way they do with their romantic interests. Sakura and Sasuke, who (IN THE MANGA) I think everyone can agree feel romantically about eachother, there is a lot more physical closeness (hand holding/hugging), as well as Sakura always trying to be close to Sasuke and (again, in the manga) Sasuke being kind to Sakura despite often being hostile to anyone else. 

Also, Sakura clearly rejected Naruto maaaaany times, and only ever showed "romantic interest" in Naruto when she was asking him out to get his focus off of Sasuke, not because she was interested in him, I DON'T THINK IT'S WRONG TO SHIP THEM, but as I said in entry 2, I (usually) don't enjoy shipping characters with characters they have outright rejected! And I REALLY REALLY value Naruto and Sakura's relationship and I think they are soooo so beautiful, I just personally feel like it simplifies their care for eachother so much to call it romance, when I think it is just something deeper and different than romance. I really just see them as family. 

This is absolutely not to hate on NaruSaku shippers, simply just to share my reasoning for why I personally don't ship it!
