General knowledge

Tailless whip scorpions are arachnids, meaning they're in the same family as spiders, and are in fact, NOT scorpions! They're also known as whip scorpions! They're harmless to people and household pets, and can be kept as pets themselves! They can live around 5-10 years, depending on their quality of life, and sex.

Appearance across all species!!

They all have flat bodies with eight legs and eight eyes, with two distinct 'arms' for feeling around stuff!!

FUN FACT!

Males live shorter lives than females!

there are also 150 known species of amblyqi!

Environment and living!!

They typically reside in tropical environments, usually in caves, and are nocturnal!

Reproduction!

The female whip scorpion will lay eggs and then carry them under her abdomen until they hatch!!! As the eggs develop, they will darken from light green to brown!

They than crawl onto their mothers back when they hatch, similar to possums!

This is what it looks like when they finally hatch!! <33
