The old internet will be back :·)

Lately I have been seeing a lot of posts, videos and entries that keep saying the same thing: people are reviving the old internet.
A lot of sites are old web themed and a lot of people have been going offline because of the increasing rise of AI (which is horrible by the way !! AI steals a lot of data from non-consenting folks and spreads misinformation on the internet & much more) and harmful "anti-privacy" social medias that collect every drop of information they can from their users.

If I'm being honest, I am kind of "low profile". I kinda have (?) some profiles on certain apps, but the truth is that I don't use tiktok, instagram, youtube shorts, be real (and other common social medias in general) because they make my health decline a lot. I always leave them mad and use them for hours and hours every day when I have them, so I don't use those anymore.
But I was born too late to experience the real old web internet - and that's why the rise of old-themed internet sites, web rings and the 2000's aesthetic feels so amazing to me.

The internet isn't close to what it was twenty years ago, but it's still progress.

With that, I want to share with you that I'm creating my own site, I'll prob use neocities or nekoweb for that. I took programming classes when I was reeeeally young so it'll also be fun discovering how to code again & in new languages !! I am currently learning Python (using the IDE Thonny) and HTML all by myself !! I will share this site w yall when I finish it <3
