movies

hey everyone!! it’s finals week and i’m lwk crashing out but it’ll be fine!! (hopefully) i wanted to talk about movies because i’ve been watching and rewatching a lot of my favorites or new movies that have recently came out. my top five right now (not in order) are probably frankenstein, wake up dead man, weapons, thunderbolts, and revenge of the sith. 

i’ve been rewatching and kinda getting back into my old star wars phase, don’t know why i grew out of it in the first place, but i forgot how much i loved them. the plots kinda lame and crappy and predictable but i love some of the dialogue and especially the iconic scene from rots when him and obi-wan are fighting. 

frankenstein was just such an amazing book and guillermo del toro did the book so much justice and oscar issac and jacob elordi cooked, if you haven’t watched it yet, i suggest you do!!

 i watched weapons just randomly (on a pirated website :3) and i loved it, though it’s not one of those really creepy horror films with lots and lots of blood, there is a lot of gore so be prepared for that, but it was more of a psychological thriller than a horror, i very much liked it and i think amy did an amazing job acting in that movie.

wake up dead man was probably my favorite knives out movie, i liked the plot twists and the characters and the plot development but i think my favorite part was the fact that they kind of portrayed the questioning of religion and if it’s all just some story we continue to tell because it’s what we were told to believe or if all of it is just a facade, which is kind of what i picked up from the dialogue and the plot, but i could be wrong. the camera angles and all of the shots and everything were great, as always in a knives out movie, and that one just came out on netflix.

last but not least, thunderbolts. i saw thunderbolts in the theaters with a few friends i had dragged along because i have like no marvel friends. i loved it, a lot of people say differently but i liked the plot and especially seeing yelena and her going through all of her mental health issues. i definitely related to her before but especially after that movie, i really started to connect to her character. and of course, we love bucky and bob as the new edition to the mcu universe and i can’t wait for doomsday to come out.
