Hello there! The life has been busy those days. Well, not really actually, i mane yeah i have studied a lot but also i had enough time to notice few very interesting posts on socials about that people are turning to physical media. The idea itself is GREAT. But like, i am wondering, are ppl actually gonna turn to it?
MY thoughts are that most ppl won't even bother abt it. We are ADDICTED to our screens and everyone knows that. Me myself, i can't go on a day without doom scrolling on instagram reels. And i doubt anyone gives a fck about this little project. I just think we are too attached to our phones. The government made us addicted to them.
Now you must be wondering, 'oh but what does government has to do with this?'
Well, i just think government wants to keep us on the edge. New phones are coming, we doom scroll to the point we become zombies. And government uses that to it's profit by sharing propaganda and keeping us unaware and under thier control. With today's media, we are easy to track, to be spied on. That is just a fact.
But i wanna hear yall's thoughts about all of this. What do you think?
How much people are gonna actually turn to physical media in 2026?

i think alot of people wont really bother, but ive personally been making the changes to have a less screen/internet oriented lifestyle. got alot of the music and media i like physically, and i plan to get a dvd player too. i hope to use the internet as minimally as possible, especially for stuff like music and shows. i know im not the only one, but its probably not as common as people say it is--most people understandably may not have the money, the dedication, or whatever else. especially with how addicting screens are

most people won't bother about it, i agree, because returning to the physical world takes more effort than the majority of people want to put in. it is a conscious, deliberate task to purposely inconvenience oneself, and to step back from what most people consider their "safety net", but it is worth it because this is how you fight back against the government, against AI, and against the threat of mass-surveillance the whole world is currently under. i don't regret converting to an analog life at all. i still keep a no-windows no-google laptop but it's strictly for emails, banking, and spacehey (because i like this platform a lot).
i've been seeing this specific topic pop up on here quite a bit recently so i'm wondering if this idea is a sort of trend now amongst the social media sphere. if people are turning to physical media for a trend then i feel like they're mostly doing it to indulge in their consumerism, but maybe some of those people will find that it really is quite a different world and feeling to be able to actually own things, then they'll fall down the pipeline and eventually realize how much better it is to be off their phones. after all, it only takes just 3-7 days of not being on your phone to not care about it anymore. that's my two cents
i couldn't agree more with you abt this
