Hey guys! Glad to see you again for a new study tip! Check out my other blogs to see other tips posted.
New tip of the day: Spaced Repetition
When we learn something, we tend to forget it quite quickly. Spaced repetition is a very simple method to avoid this.
The idea is this: 👉 Review a little, several times, leaving time between each review.
Instead of rereading your notes ten times in one day, you review them: once today, then tomorrow, then a few days later, then a week later...
Each time, your brain thinks:
"Ah, this information comes up often, it must be important."
As a result, it retains it longer.
Why it works?
Our memory works better when we do spaced repetition rather than cramming. Each review reinforces the memory, a bit like retracing a path to make it stronger.
A simple example , you're learning an French word:
Day 1: You learn it
Day 2: You review it
Day 5: You review it again
Day 15: You still remember it → Success! 🎉
If you forget it at some point, no problem, you can review it sooner.
In short
Spaced repetition is: learning little by little, reviewing at the right time ,memorizing for the long term
It's simple, effective, and much less tiring than trying to review everything at once.
That's it for today's tip. See soon for another tip, and feel free to ask any questions in the comments!
Bye 🩷
