Is it okay to be religious but not like religious religious?? Because throughout my whole life my family was and still is pretty modern regarding faith and we never mention it in the house. Sure, we all believe in god, we have icons above the main doorway, all of us are baptised and we celebrate Christmas and Easter, but I was never really interested in religion because I was never taught it as a child. Itβs like I was born, saw what we believe in, and just went with it yk? And Iβm okay with it but Iβm wondering if itβs okay to be like that
The reason Iβm asking this is because I had a friend over with her sister and mom since our families are friends, and they are very religious. All of them have bible verses in their bios, they implement religion in every conversation, and the little sister was bragging about how many bible verses she can remember. And you know the whole time it was kind of intimidating if I could say that, since that was literally the first time Iβve seen someone this religious. also I grew up with mostly freedom of religion in my family, and I remember even in 2021 when I told my dad that I was atheist ( I was for a little while) and he was completely okay with it, same with mama. And to summarise the whole thing Iβm just wondering if Iβm doing enough or is this even okay to have faith as a more avant-garde person?? Β
Sorry if this doesnβt make sense, Iβm having paranoia at 1am

Super religious people tend to throw their knowledge of religion around to kind of show religious dominance (Thatβs how I see it anyway). So what Iβm trying to say is no one can truly say this god or that god really exist, itβs what resonates with you. If people try and undermine anyones belief itβs wrong unless that certain belief is harming people. Itβs totally okay if they want to educate you and try and teach you as long as itβs in your comfort zone and you are willing to talk about it. And itβs okay to flip flop on beliefs because youβre not sure, thatβs what being a human is all about. Itβs about trying new things and questioning everything. Donβt put to much thought into it and go with your gut :)
