The Endearing Ember

The Endearing Ember

The lantern cast an eerie glow,

The flame crackling audibly

I sit and watch fhe fire below,

Below the lid of the latern casting the eerie glow

I wont move an inch, not even a slight.

For If I do I might–might get burned by this eerie light

But even if the latern burns brigher, I will always replenish the fire

We need eachother, the embers and I.

It gives me warmth and I give it life!

My Latern cast a warm glow

The embers but a simmer

We sit in silence that is comfortable

It's flame simply a glimmer

I don't seem to be wary, wary of the Latern,

The Lantern which once cast an eerie glow
