Does anybody else hate this?

Personally, I really dislike (or hate) when people make ALL of their characters look really different. Mostly for characters that are like, maybe supposed to be for a series, yknow. I feel like if you want different characters, you could have them express themselves in a way other than style. I don't mind this a lot with people who make a few personal OCs and I don't hate creative designs. I also don't really like people who give all of their OCs like, really different backstories that one, do not contribute anything to the OC, and/or two, they've never experienced before and aren't very educated with the subject. I like characters that are ways for the creator to project themselves into, which is what I have done with two of my characters. I don't know if this all makes sense? If you do do this stuff, I don't really care because it actually isn't hurting anyone 99% of the time, but Its like a pet peeve for me. I also didn't know how to categorise this
