while its not EVERY single north african obviously i think most north africans espacially those of the maghreb region can agree that a good 97% of all north africans speak at the very least two languages (you can thank the educational system and colonisation) and ofc i love being good at multiple langages i speak english, french, arabic, and VERY broken tachel7it and im trying/planning on learning spanish, turkish(for studies) and russian. and like i said knowing so many languages is so fun but GOOOOD DO I STRUGGLE IN ALL OF THEM. like just the other day my mom asked me what was 9imron(shrimp) in english and i started thinking but the word only popped up in french, then i answered her in spanish, and apologized in english... and this isnt the first time this happen why is my brain so messyyyy T_T
being north african means speaking multiple languages and struggling in all of them

ughhh i relate so muchh!!
Having to learn 2 colonial languages (I consider arabic a colonial and separate language from darija) right after birth then having them be mandatory in school in addition to another foreign language would be with-no-doubt overwhelming for any kid.
I was horrible at french as a child and much preferred Arabic to the point that I would use it in daily speech, and that would have most likely continued if my parents had not forced me to take additional classes to improve my french.
I do thank them for that because it helped a lot later in school and still does to this day but the issue here lies in the system that forces us to keep using this language rather than our mother tongue. Even as someone who adores languages this is outrageous. A foreign language should be a personal endeavor not a mandatory school subject but such are the consequences of colonialism.
Unfortunately ma3ndk matdir other than live with reality and try to enjoy learning these languages and keep practicing them!! The hardest part about knowing multiple languages is maintaining them so try to engage with all the language you know daily/semi-daily to keep a good grasp on them. O good luck in your future linguistic journeys !! Never underestimate how much the human brain can learn :D
AAAHHH im so glad others can relate loll
