singing

do you guys think its necessary to go to singing lessons to be good at it or is it something you can archive by yourself?? 

cuz i had a band with some of my friends (i was the bassist), we only played a gig once, the thing is that we dont practice together anymore and im not talking that much with two of the friends (no bad reasons) and now i made a new band with one previous friend of the other band.

we're 4, there's a drummer, a guitarist and either me or helen is going to be the bassist, we think we both could sing so yeah thats it
