christmas spiderman (the bluebird family christmas miracle)

christmas spiderman is this little spiderman ornament that we have

and every year we hang him up on our ceiling. our ceiling has this weird wood feature on the edge that has a tiny little ledge that we can hook his ornament hook on

and every year after we decorate the tree me and my dad put him up and its like the ceremonial beginning of christmas

he has three hooks but we only use one

my mom doesnt like him but thats too damn bad because its tradition. its me and my dads christmas tradition. one of our only family christmas traditions actually. definitely my favorite one.

he watches over us during the holiday season sort of like an elf on the shelf but better

here he is

we've had him there every year i can remember. at least since i was 4 when we moved into this house

BUT one year. a snow globe burst in one of our christmas decor bins and ruined a bunch of ornaments. and sure enough, old spidey was one of them

we were devastated. we would have nobody to watch over us during christmas.

but one fateful december day, that same year, we went to the antique mall. i think we were looking for gifts for dad. so we're at the antique mall, and we find a booth with ornaments. a bunch of christmas ornaments in boxes. we start looking in it.

and in that bin, we find.

christmas spiderman.

not just a spiderman ornament, it was CHRISTMAS SPIDERMAN. the EXACT same one. gorgeous, three hooked, action posed, christmas spiderman.

just as he had left our world, sudden and mysterious, he was reborn back into it.
