So for those who don’t know, glitter force was a dubbing of precure smile. It was on Netflix for a while before they removed it a few years back. Mainly because it had some controversy over some things which I will list now, 1. They removed episodes that featured Japanese culture and events and some (most) were very important to the storyline. 2. The dub changed the name of the characters, and changed the name of the show from “precure” to “glitterforce” and changed their magical girl names too. In the dub cure freeze is called glitter beauty. 3. Homophobia apparently, but idk where this is coming from and would like to know. I understand why people would be mad with the first two things. And I’m not defending the dub for that. Ty for reading and good bye.
What’s wrong with glitter force ???

Doki Doki Precure is heavily queercoded. Regina and Mana's relationships, Rikka's love for Mana but they COMPLETELY removed all of this from Glitter Force Doki Doki. Actually one of Rikka's/Rachel's dialogue of her being like ''Mana's wife'' sometimes was changed too ''you're like Maya's MOTHER sometimes''. like huuuhhh?

this isnt netflix's first time doing shit like this. We need to cancel subscription based models and move back to physical media! thats the only option left in this economy
