Weapons Review

It has been almost four months since I saw the horror film "Weapons". I was only recently reminded of it by award ceremonies coming up. In the movie we follow seven children who went missing, they are all from the same third grade class. We also get to see various points of view, this was actually something I enjoyed. It gave you a look into the character's reasoning for their actions. The first person blamed is of course the teacher, Justine. For parents it is always the easiest solution to blame the teachers. The movie to me seemed like it was more comedy than horror. The message of the film was a social commentary on school shootings. While I could see some of it with the use of the children, we are sacrificing our children to keep our guns. I just was not a huge fan of the movie which I felt ran too long and was all over the place.
