Hi everyone, I wanna put another call out here for people who might be interested in making a zine. For the friends who already replied to my earlier bulletin, I wrote your names down so I don't forget!
For those who don't know what a zine is, it's a homemade art book that is at minimum around 8 pages. It is usually made in a printable format so that you can hand it out to anyone, but a lot of people just stick with the digital zines these days. Art, writing, poetry, photography, or any visual medium is great for zines.
Your skill level DOES NOT MATTER!!! I want to welcome anyone into this (preferably 18+) as long as you are respectful. The content can be on the darker side but no NSFW, I want everyone to be able to read it. I'm thinking it could be similar to an "exquisite corpse" where each of us create a page, one after the other, with no set story or theme. You could either bounce off of the idea before you, or do something completely new.
I'm thinking about making a discord for this if enough people are interested since it would be easier to collaborate through there.
Also, on another note, I'm thinking of changing the song on my profile each day to what I'm either listening to or feeling. Would y'all be interested in a blog about each song choice, why I chose it, and a link to the song? I think it'd be fun to have a daily thing like that. I would also love it if people replied with what they are listening to that day too.
Today's song is "What My Angels See In Me" by Trust Fund Ozu.
This song is really important to me lately. Because I'm not as welcome in the tight-knit community I used to have, this song really hits hard because I want to be what they see, or saw, and lately I have just been shutting doors on everyone that tries to reach me. I've stopped doing this in the last few weeks, but now nobody is trying to "open my door".
My favorite line in the song is "I live in the lost and found".

No writing at all? I am willing to work with you if you want to participate! You could even do photobashing, or just a full page of different images you like or quotes. You don't have to be an artist/writer, just something visual!

oh no i think im a modest writer and i understand more or less the basics of art i just believe that according to your requirements (even if they are only preferred and not set in stone) i am much too young!

Yeah unfortunately just because if I am going to run a discord server for this I would rather not have minors in the discord.. I hope that you understand! I would just run it through here but I don't know how to do that efficiently..

personally i believe myself to be mature but i would rather abide by preference! also yeah i totally understand children can be terrible sometimes
yeah a discord would be much more efficient for something like that lol

Nooo it's not that I think children are terrible or anything, I just want everyone to be safe and since I don't know the adults I'll be doing the zine with personally it's just a precaution.

I never understood the concept of a "zine" before but now that you describe it, I think I might be interested. Let me know if you have any progress with the idea.

The song idea sounds fun, just need to remember to change it later. I decided to make a "song of the day" kinda thing in my website (current in development) and every time I open the dust and abandoned html file there it is a song I don't listen anymore in ages, so don't be like me lol
Yeah, I hopefully won't abandon it, luckily I've been listening to the same songs for aaaages (while adding new ones of course) so I don't think I'll be unhappy if I forget :P

That's good, when I like a song I just listen to it a bunch of times during a week and then get tired of it lol. That's also a good motivating factor for people to always look at your profile :)
