stranger things thoughts if anyone cares

okay - first of all, i am not by any means a stranger things expert. ive just rewached the show for the first time in 2 years and i think ive seen it in total of 3 times?

anyway, i just have stuff to talk about. im not claiming to make any new amazing opinions, these are pretty basic and popular.

okay first off: byler! and dont get me wrong, i am not against it. i just feel it is a bit unrealistic. i know there are these ''proofs'' of byler being canon and we of course know already that will has a crush on mike. but thats the thing because i do not think mike likes him back. or at least i dont think he would realize and come to terms with it if he did. i think what could happen is that will confesses and it ends up being unrequited. then again, would will straight up confess? we know he tried to ''flirt'' with mike this season. but to straight up confess and come out at the same time? i dont know. but i feel as if mike wouldnt accept himself even if he did realize eventually he liked boys too. and whilst i know the show is far from realistic, i still think it would be very unrealistic to have mike just be like ''oh yeah i think i like you too'' and then they would just get together? and then there is Eleven. im not a mileven shipper and im also not a byler shipper so my opinion on this matter isnt affected by anything. this is just what ive been thinking. but i wouldnt be mad if byler did happen, it would just make me confused and i think (on mikes part) it would feel rushed.

next up is steve. i love steve, he is a funny guy with serious character development. that being said, why does he *still* feel the need to go after nancy? mind you, nancy and jonathan have been dating for a while now and jonathan is also thinking about proposing. i just dont get the point. thats just an asshole move to pull and hit on your ex who is now clearly taken by someone else. its not even just steve thats being a bit ridiculous - but also JONATHAN i mean why does he let steve get to him? i understand that in season 4 nancy said something along the lines of ''steve has grown up quite a bit and isnt that bad anymore'' etc. so i get why jonathan would feel insecure. yet i feel as if he has nothing to worry about. (also side note: WHY did they make nancy and jonathan so unhappy?? i hate it, they were so sweet. also i know stuff has happened between them and all the deaths and trauma but i think they should rely on each other since they are so deeply bonded over it.) i love love love jonathan as a character and also his relationship with nancy. nancy is also my all time favourite st character i think. anyway, its either jancy or nancy by herself (which would also work. shes the best and deserves the best).

ALSO what was that speech steve gave nancy about in season 4? when he told her he imagined his future with like a million kids with nancy. ew ew ew. nancy clearly has different dreams. also she was with jonathan at that point so.. it just rubbed me the wrong way.

moving on.. i love season 3. i love the colors and the true 80s vibe. its so funny to me how seasons 1 and 2 were pretty dark (season 1 being actually scary as well) and then by season 3 it was all colors and everything fun. its hard to see stranger things as a horror show anymore but me personally - i am not complaining. seasons 3, 4 and now 5 are more enjoyable in my opinion than the first 2. i think its because the characters know about all the stuff thats going on and are kind of.. used to it? also its fun to see them grow up.

also i LOOOVE the very first episode of a new season. its so exciting and usually the first episode is more lighthearted.
