a few movie recommendations from a weird sixteen yr old who used to make movies her whole personality ^_< -★

hihihi, this is my first entry (°ロ°) im gonna share some cool movies with u all ! >⩊<

i also included links to watch the movies (use an adblocker to be safe hehe) and a little description about the movie, written in my own words ᵎ!ᵎ

1. wild at heart (1990) directed by david lynch ⁠♡

wild at heart will forever be one of my favorite movies, its such a journey and i find it hard to believe anyone out there could hate it (•́ ᴖ •̀). wild at heart is a romance movie at its core, but it includes elements of really every genre you can think of; it has action, comedy, drama and even a touch of horror in a few scenes. the film follows a couple named sailor and lula, at the start of the movie, sailor kills a man in an act of self-defense and spends time in jail. after his release him & lula hit the road to escape lula's evil mother, marietta, who desperately wants sailor away from her daughter - even reaching dangerous lengths to keep them apart. the movie is full of twists and you will 100% get attached to the characters of sailor & lula, theyre such loveable characters ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

2. thirteen (2003) directed by catherine hardwicke ⁠♡

this is one of the first movies i actually took seriously when i was getting into movies (ironically, i was thirteen myself when i first watched this ˙𐃷˙). it gets a lot of hate online, but i think its an amazing movie and very important for young girls to watch.. (╥﹏╥). the film follows a 13 yr old girl named tracy, on her first day of school she sees a group of sterotypical "cool girls" after getting made fun of for her childish clothes. on the next day she buys a bunch of new clothes to impress them, in which 2 of them, one being evie, an important character for the later parts of the film, invite her out shopping after school. during this shopping trip, tracy watches them steal from these stores and then decides to steal a woman's wallet to impress them. as the movie progresses we watch tracy become everything she hated at the start of the film, and evie's influence impacts tracy and her family in very drastic ways. i absolutely love the way this movie was filmed, i can even make another post about similar movies if anyone wants that ! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) 

3. natural born killers (1994) directed by oliver stone ♡

im biased with this one because its my favourite film ever but ill try my best to do a non-biased review lol ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ. this film follows mickey and mallory knox, a pair of serial killers, glamourized by the media, who embark on various killing sprees. from first glance, this film seems like a flashy action movie, and whilst it is.. exactly that.. its also a wholesome? romance (..◜ᴗ◝..). maybe wholesome isnt the right word but, it really is one of the best portrayals of an unconventional romance ive ever seen. there isnt too much plot i can tell you about without spoiling key moments but trust me when i say it's such a blast to watch •⩊•
