Septum ring vs. Social life

I pierced my own septum a while ago, though not long enough for it to fully heal. My parents figured out (thanks to my sister snitching), and HATE it. Up until now, they haven't known what to about it. I always wear a septum retainer that doesn't show around them. But they've decided that either I take the septum ring out and let it close up, or no more social life for me. This will mean no more phone or wifi, and eventually I will have to leave every club I'm in because I can't communicate in any way. I really don't want to have my life controlled by this pair of boring adults, but also I need a social life or staying at home too long will drive me insane. Also, I'm stubborn. I don't want to take it out just because I was told to. I want to be able to make my own choices with my body and my life. If I sound like a brat right now, you should see the immaturity in my parents. Anyways, what should I do?
