My mom thought I was getting high off of nail polish remover

So for context I wasn’t tired at my bedtime so I got up, got nail polish remover and nail polish, took my nail polish off with the nail polish remover and painted my nails a different color. I guess my mom could hear me from her bedroom so she walks over to my room and smells the nail polish remover and goes, “ away do I smell nail polish remover?” I told her that I took my nail polish off and put a different color on, because that’s what happened right? And then she’s goes, “ were you sniffing the nail polish remover to get high, because some kids do that.” Obviously I know that you can do that but why would I do that when the risk percentage is higher than the feeling of being high. You could die from that stuff, why woukd I do that? And she still doesn’t believe me.
