Finally, I have some time to log on this site and write a blog.
Honestly, these few months have been exhausting (finally having a job, but at what cost...) and luckily I secured a few days to come back to my hometown. It's good not having to think about work and responsibilities all the time, though I wish I could stay longer...
I'm taking the train tomorrow and I'll be back to my usual routine. I'm slowly getting used to it, though I still can't make time for my hobbies. Art is going very slow, though I'm working on a piece for a Secret Santa challenge that I hope will be ready before Christmas.
Other than that I'm still looking for a new place, though I'm a bit more optimistic now that I spoke with a real estate agency and found a little town not too far from my workplace that feels very nice and cozy, if everything goes well I might find something there.
Overall, vibes haven't been... great. I feel like work is sucking out a lot of my optimism and I feel so tired I just can't do anything other than rot in bed and doomscroll, I just hope with experience I'll be able to manage my time better. My Steam library is filling up with games I still haven't had the chance to play.
Oh and I bought a new phone! because... well, mostly the hype. With the Android 15 update my Motorola started acting up (though I'll confess, it wasn't anything really that serious, but fixing stuff on phones is really annoying for me and I was already planning to buy a new one to spend my company bonus), so I got a Nothing, specifically the 3a Pro because I wanted a good camera. It's been serving me well but time will tell if I'll be good with the stock Nothing OS or if something insignificant will bug me so much I'll feel forced to install something else, lol. Those "Essential" AI features are already bugging me out a lot but I guess that's what you get on every smartphone nowadays, at least you can still turn them off. I love tech but I hate tech.
That's mostly everything for now, I will come back with some season's greetings in due time :3

yay new blog post! oww I hope vibes will become better soon for you!
how do you like the camera on the nothing now that you had some time with it? I've always owned a pixel phone (first a 4a now a 8a) and wondered how they compare seeing as they are quite similar,,, expect for the cool design of the nothing :o
'I love tech but I hate tech' - I like this quote >:3
I have the same feeling with the pixel because it's a phone without a lot of bloat (yay) but it's still from google (eww)
The camera is really nice! I can't say for sure how it compares to the Pixels because I've never had one but at least on the 3a Pro specifically the post-processing is really nice and makes pictures look professional without any editing (which I know some people might hate, but there's still a manual camera mode so there's the option). The macro shots specifically are really good in my opinion.
One thing I'm not very fond of is the latest Nothing OS update... they started the Nothing brand with a line of bloat-free phones and now they just keep adding dumb useless apps and features to the system. Lock Glimpse is especially bad since it looks like just some stupid adware/spyware baked into the system. Hopefully they sort it out with the security patches.
Overall though I like it as a phone made for people that hate using their phones, there's significantly less bloatware compared to other brands and the glyph interface makes it easy to check whether you have any important notifications to read without having to turn on the screen (I still miss the old colored LED though).
