Hello everyone, so I was asked out at work by this dude, and I'm kinda scared to tell my mother (Let alone my father). For context, I live a sheltered life, not allowed to do anything that is considered "wrong." I wasn't allowed to date or explore myself with romance or anything like that. I mean, I know I'm a woman in my twenties, but I still live with my parents and under my parents' rules. I don't know what to do or say, ngl.
Y'all Someone asked me out and I'm scared to tell my mother.

I would wait until you actually can confirm that you feel comfortable with him and actually see yourself with him in something serious.
You don't have to tell them, especially if you aren't confident in those feelings yet.
EXCEPT- you are actually looking for their support.
Then I would sit them down and explain it to them. It's scary, but usually it turns out better than expected.
Try telling them more positive things, let them ask questions but never let them interupt you. Stand your ground and show how you actually want this.
(Also it's totally okay to still live with your parents)
You can do this! And hopefully it works out :)
Thank you 🥹 I'm actually going to tell my mother in a bit. I sure hope things go alright as well 🙏
