greetings and salutations.
i'm at school, meaning i can't do an introductory doodle... so this will have to do:

...yeah, that's fine, i guess. nice to see you today. so, what's the deal?
well, originally i was going to post a blog about ways to kill time and still feel productive, but once i got to a certain point i realized that it could be a whole blog on its own. felt like a much more important message to get out there. and thus, i present to you:
Things People Don't Think Enough About*
(* Applicability of title may vary)
"Is this good for me?"
this can relate to just about anything. something as small as what you're eating, or something as crucial as a relationship you're in.
while it's great to focus on the positives in your life (and i am a massive advocate for such), it's also just as important to understand what may actually be negative.
think about something you do, consume, or deal with regularly. is it good for you? what do you gain from it? is there anything you really get from it? do the positives REALLY outweigh those negatives...?
it's a good idea in my book to regularly consider the pros and cons of something before you do it, or consider such for things you already do. especially things like what you're regularly consuming or looking into online.
yes, i want you to really think about that Twitter account and what you're really getting out of it.
The Future
okay, don't be scared. i know this is intense for the second point.
i've interacted with many people on the 'net, and i'd say i'm close to a good few of them! but i don't know if many of them genuinely consider the long term all that much.
and that's... important! like, really important!
i understand the future is a scary thing, but let me tell you: what we're afraid of is the uncertainty of it all.
you never really know what's going to happen. whatever you think is going to happen to you 10 years down the line is about as accurate as the shot of a Stormtrooper. sure, you may hit the mark occasionally, but 9.9 times out of 10 you're going to entirely miss even if the shot feels point-blank...
and that doesn't mean you need to be afraid!
good things will come, bad things will come. both are as inevitable as they are equal. you need to just let them happen, dude. you can't be afraid of what you don't know! you don't even know what it is!
but you need to think of some stuff ahead of time, okay?
what do you like to do regularly? could you improve at it?
what do you want to do later on?
have you thought about a career?
and most importantly, what's your main goal in life?
remember, a goal doesn't have to be specific. it's just something you should strive to follow, through your choices and your behaviors.
mine is to simply "Be Happy".
even if you can't come up with answers right now, that's okay. even if you do, if the answer changes, that's perfectly normal as well. it's just good to have an idea while you're still working up to the point where you'll need it. i'm sure you'll end up alright regardless.
"Am I okay?"
...well, are you?
this is a question i ask people a bit too much. "are you okay?" "feeling alright?" "all good?"... i'm very aware of this. sometimes i'll ask it, forget i asked it, and then ask again. it comes from a good place, but i really gotta cut that out.
but you gotta ask it to yourself sometime! really think about the answer, alright? ARE you okay? don't let yourself answer it so quickly, even if you are feeling pretty fine.
if you are, great!
if you aren't, though, then why not? can you do anything about it? have you tried?
it's important to keep tabs on yourself. do not compare yourself to the happiness of others, but think if you're okay where you are right now, and what you can do about it if not. be easy on yourself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
well, that's about all i got. i know three things may be disappointing, and it is to me too, actually.
i thought i'd have way more, but i'm drawing blanks, so i guess it's time to post this thing.
i hope you considered these questions. i may make a sequel post if i think of more.
got answers to these you want to share? got more questions you want to ask? comments are enabled. go do it. i'm gonna go back to passing the time, myself...
i'd post this at a time where more people would actually see it, but honestly, anybody sorting by New might be able to catch it. as long as a couple people do, hey, good enough, right?
remember to forgive yourself, and let yourself grow.
...also, bait people into introspection by asking them a million questions.
it's funnier than rage.
(...really hope this posts......)
bye for now,
