I dualboot windows 7 and Linux MINT XFCE the only reason I still use windows 7 is because it's what my PC came with so naturally it runs better meaning it can run games better and stuff but I use mint for everything else and I love it whenever I get parts to upgrade my PC I'll probably switch to cinnamon
Asus essentio cm1730 that's my PC 4gb of ram and 1tb of storage I forgot what else but it's not a bad PC since it has so much storage and can run some older games I like the only thing that sucks is like coding on it can be annoying since I code on mint and it doesn't handle a lot of tabs open very well
i can suggest you to buy a ssd. it will really increase your pc performance. i had 2012 laptop and boot time was 40 seconds on linux then i bought ssd and boot time is decerased to 20 second. it is worth your money

what is your computer specs?
i had same situation but linux gives more fps on games so i deleted windows entirely and switched to linux
