why do holidays not feel the same anymore?

Idk what it is about this year but holidays definitely aren't the same. like Halloween for example, that did NOT feel like Halloween. It felt like you would be off going and getting candy from the store because that was more fun than the trick or treating this year. maybe its the stupid brain rot costumes or the events or this year that have made it so boring, like that didn't FEEL like Halloween. like this December doesn't feel like Christmas? I remember being excited and filled with joy for Christmas to come because i loved the feeling in the air and the decorations that everyone put up. the chilly breeze and hanging out with family you haven't seen face to face in years around a campfire. maybe things will perk up once it gets closer but right now it just feels like any other month. each year, the older I get I feel like the years just go by faster and faster. it started after like 2021. that year was good but after that it felt like everyone just all died inside and has been moving around like mindless zombies, doing the same thing everyday like a hamster on a wheel. wake up, work, go to sleep, repeat. idk maybe its just me? do you feel it too?
