getting mp3 files is pretty easy becos they're pretty easy to just download, but that's like not gonna pay artists though. But like, if u drc about payment, youtubetomp3 or wtv, websites like that.
(important: when using these websites, an adblocker really really helps! i use ublock origin on firefox)

some music can also be found from the internet archive: archive.org

if u want to buy, a lot of small bands u can buy their mp3s / cds from the website "bandcamp" Bigger bands U can get their mp3s from amazon.

Check out this blog: "fluxblog" it's one guy. He posts an mp3 every couple of days of a song he likes, usually something alternative. The songs posted down to ~2015 are all able to still be downloaded.

u can find mp3 players on ebay for cheap, or also I had a SanDisk mp3 for a while and I thought it worked well! I've heard good things about the brand "AGPTEK" since I am also investigating mp3 players right now.

As for burning cds, are you on a Windows? If so, the "windows media player legacy" is able to burn CDs as long as you have a CD driver to put the CD into (assuming your computer does not have a CD drive built-in, because most don't anymore). If not, you'll have to look online for a disc drive that has the ability to burn CDs.

If you're on apple, you can use the app "Burn", also with a CD drive.
