hello internet, so as i have been into digging up old internet archives from sites like the wayback machine lately, i have been inspired by various youtubers to maybe also start creating little videos. i know, youtube and social media overall is not even nearly the same as it has been in like 2009 but i have so many things i would love to talk about. the only problem here...how do i start?? especially with me still being in high school, in a non english speaking country, it would be kind of difficult for me to gain an audience and even just be myself. i am not as afraid of people judging me anymore so that would not be a huge problem but it would just have a hard time fully opening up and being authentic, knowing that people i have to see daily at school would watch me. honestly though, i only have one and a half years left until i finish school so i might as well just wait until then. i definetely want to try it out, it has been one of my life goals ever since i was a child lol. just give me about max. 2 years and i will try to become a real blogger:p i also think that would be a great idea to start off my twenties! (wdym i will be 20 in two years...i feel old)
becoming a youtuber...eventually!

Honestly I wish I was into making videos but I prefer being faceless little rascal who posts about her interests on here and sometimes tumblr!!

I mean if ur talking about becoming a big time successful youtuber then I really got nothing for u but if u just wanna do it for the sillies then I’d say go for it. I’ve been uploading on youtube since I was 13 (I’m 17 now), started off with dumb cringe animations and these days I occasionally upload a video of me talking about random stuff. I have 434 subs as of currently which doesn’t really mean much cuz I still get like 20 views on average but hey if my friends are the ones watching and commenting I’d say it’s worth it
oh yes definetely, i am not planning on pursuing that as my life long career or anything lol, purely just considering this to let the yap sessions i have with myself in my head see the light of the day bc why not.
and that is so cool, i love the fact that you do it for urself and not for the sake of views or followers unlike most people nowadays! i actually also had a long history with posting art and animation memes since i was 11 lol i think i still have my 1.5k subscribers from the old days.

I used to want to be a famous youtuber when I was slightly younger actually lol but I figured that that would be way too stressful so I just upload whatever and whenever and if the algorithm decides to recommend my vids to people then I guess that’s cool too

Soon, I plan on making YouTube videos and covering every single timeline of YouTube content, starting in Early 2026. I already started with some testing videos, looking like they are from the early 2010s or so.
I started off simply using HyperCam 2 and Bandicam, while recording Old Roblox gameplay. I made some playlists covering video types I have already done, and plan on expanding to more types of content in the future.
I want to get a charger for my Pentax Optio Z10 from 2007 so I can make 2007-2012 style content, or my Nikon Coolpix S4000, or some other digital camera.
I wanted to schedule one upload every 2 weeks or so as well, and keep the authentic style of 2005-2015+ YouTube, but mostly limit it to 2009-2012 style content.
Not only do I plan on uploading to YouTube, but also to the recently relaunched KamTape, BitVide, BitView, and EraCast, which are all old YouTube revivals.
It might change depending on your prospective, but that is what I am aiming for.
no wayyy, that is so cool!!! i think we should all just start a massive old internet revival, exactly like that. if i ever were to actually start posting, i think i would also do it in the late 2000s/early 2010s style. youtube truly peaked back then and we need to go back desperately!!!

If I get into coding, I planned on a project similar to that: SpaceVideos.
A website that mashes Videos, Images, Audios, Chat, Blog, and Forums together, where if YouTube mashed with Newgrounds and MySpace.
I planned on making the site look like a website from 2007, but also have a 2012-style design, a modern design, and a version designed for 90s-early 2000s PCs (aka designed for Netscape 4 or similar).

I am honestly not sure yet, and I don't know if I plan on developing it until 2029, but I do plan on doing it either way.

There's actually still a niche-r youtube scene at the moment of teenagers just making daily vlogs and random shit with just a camera, i can show you some cool people liek that if you want :P
I also had some up but dont anymore.... been thinking of getting back into it as well xD
on how to start, i think just deciding what kind of youtuber you want to be and getting some stuff done is the goal. even if its Bad, you gain a lot of knowledge about thumbnails and editing and whatever else just by creating "bad" content for a while. it would alsoo mean youd be more comofrtable talking to a camera wheneveer you actually want to share what youre doing so :P
yayyyy i have my first hypothetical viewer lolll!! but tysm for this..makes me feel more motivated to actually start :p and yess pls show me some cool ppl, as i have not rlly seen many like that yet! omg u should go back to posting as well, we'll be in this together :D
i agree, making "bad" content was the start for every later succsessful creator and it really is helpful to know how to speak to a camera, especially in our day and age. it also means gaining many new connections and who knows..maybe some of these will last forever =]
