Hello interweb, for a while now i had made the decision to take the art of making tea and enjoying it, seriously.
You may read this and wonder, "okay..? how so?"
Well you see, I was at a friend's house at some point while mildly sick, seeing as I couldn't have a smoke by itself due to a sore throat, I requested to have a cup of tea. Her father then presented me with a serious collection of tea blends and flavors. He must have had like, 6 types of green tea alone! Awestruck, I picked out a green tea with jasmine flavor, served sweet. I enjoyed it thoroughly, while smoking at their balcony. So you see, I thought "wouldn't it be nice to enjoy something like this every day? or whenever your heart desires? even as a treat for guests!"
So I began too look!! Through various parts of town, shops, mini markets and such.
So far i have acquired three different kinds of green tea (specifically because it has less caffeine and can be enjoyed before bed or in the later hours)
Different purposes and different qualities, so far here are my reviews from best to most okay to enjoy on a cold evening.
1. Akbar Ceylon green tea
Akbar tea is a very well known tea company, whose green tea leaves are harvested and picked from China and further processed in Sri Lanka, which is known to take tea very seriously. Even the package goes to show how deeply they care about tea.
Honestly, a 10/10, gives a little bit of a thick texture, very fragrant and flavorful, i personally have it plain!
2. Mix of herbs for your immune system
Exactly as the name implies, this is not a kind of brand. I had purchased this from a local herb shop. The mix has chamomile, mountain tea, mint amongst other herbs which makes it extremely fragrant and flavorful. Really like it, I'm a big mint fan. This tea comes in no bags and you have to strain it.
3. Golden Sun green tea
This too is a Ceylon tea, very fragrant not as thick of a texture or flavor but still overall pleasant. one pack has like 100 tea bags for 2 bucks, I'd call that a good deal!
That's about it so far! Will keep adding onto this as my collection grows. I encourage you to drink more tea, or at least consider it!
