hello lovelies!!
This is my first blog post on SpaceHey so excuse me if the formatting is weird - I am also on my phone currently :,) This platform is a great place for creatives I feel like and really captures the essence of what a truly social platform should be like. With that being said, a little introduction:
My name is O. and I am a musician, artist but mainly a poet from Germany! A few years ago I have published my first collection of poems - being an actual author at the fine age of 19 was cool as shit let me tell ya!! Ever since I have been working on and off on some sort of follow up. Very recently I have been very inspired again after a year or two of writers block. For the book (which I am planning to publish some time around mid 2026) longer works are being written, but I have found much joy in a more limited approach: Haikus! It is really an intricate craft to capture a whole idea maybe even a whole story in essentially 13 syllables. Writing those has been so fun and I love writing personalised Haikus too!! So if you would like to receive one after reading the following poems, just shoot me a DM :) Β Here are my current 5 favorite Haikus:
Spring Thaw
stubborn eyes of ice
melt away in agony
I can feel again
Fluctuations
chromatic puddle
caleidoscope in my eye
stained by city light
Distortion
mirrors speak in tongues
beware and seek no answer
incomplete sentence
Naive And Alive
even at windstill
see to fly your brittle kite
it matters to try
Strobe
when misunderstoodΒ
i hide under the thunder
and speak to the light

ooh these are so nice, I especially like the last one! I used to take poetry classes in high school and we had to write a haiku once, and I remember clearly that it was very challenging to express something meaningful (and in my case even just coherent lol) in so little words, but a very fun experience nonetheless
in limitations, flowers bloom! its such a neat little craft, one that is so fun to practice
