The highlight of this film was definitely the dialogue. I enjoyed listening to them speak, and I equally enjoyed the content of their speech. I liked how the patients interacted with each other as well. They are a pitiful bunch.
It was unsettling to see the matriarchal doctor slowly lose it halfway through the film. And holy shit, what an ending. I genuinely didn't expect the plot twist in the end, and my jaw was agape throughout the reveal. Stellar acting from everyone involved!
Characters aside, the cinematography was beautiful. I enjoyed the lighting and camerawork done throughout the movie.

definitely adding this to my to watch list!!
ive only seen a few older films like this tho--does it show its age? i don't mind that too much, i mean i've seen & enjoyed some films much older than this (e.g. night of the living dead, nosferatu, the invisible man, the tingler, etc.), but some 60s/70s humor & stereotypes come across to me as painfully cringe... would u still recommend this?
Yes, I definitely would! I don't think it's too obvious in its stereotypes? It still holds up today, imo.
