Hello everyone! This is my first bulletin and I'm sure it won't be my last!

I figured I would introduce myself through my little business that I've been working hard on since fall of 2018!

So Porcelain Wick was founded by me and fully funded by lovely Kickstarter patrons. Back then, my shop was inspired by rustic/alternative/Halloween aesthetics. I used silver 6oz tins and upcycled teacups at the time. After sometime and personal reflection, I found that my brand was a bit too "normal" for my taste and a lot of the things that I was doing at the time, I've seen happen repeatedly with newer candle and simple branded candle makers. So I did what I could and closed my shop down for almost a year. I rebranded EVERYTHING! I focused heavily on my brand and what type of niche and reach of public I wanted to get to. I got new jars, new label designs, and overall look.

I then resorted to recycled straight sided glass jars to give my business a more luxurious feel to it. I changed my label designs and used clear gloss labels. I also tended to stir away from colored wax and focus on the fragrance/type of wax/ and overall performance. Plus, it made my candles look more sophisticated (with the exception of my Obsidian candle that is black and my Amore E Morte candle collaboration with the gothic youtuber, LigeiaResurrected)

For quite some time, this candle look and aesthetic was working wonderfully. I had lovely black boxes that they would go in, each candle wrapped in a gorgeous burgundy tissue paper and cushioned with bubble wrap and black paper shred. I made it a point to send every buyer a free book of matches with every candle order! Everything was working wonderfully in that regard until COVID hit and it kept me strapped for supplies.

With COVID running rampant, everyone was jobless and almost immediately started looking for other alternatives to bring in some form of income. In which resulted almost every single item I needed for my already established small business, to be constantly sold out everywhere or massive price influx in everything I needed. My candle jars that I was using were sold out everywhere, the wick types, and wax types were all gone. I in turn, had to close down shop temporarily and do ANOTHER revamp on the look of my shop so I can find and test new candle jar designs, wax, and wick types. Fortunately, I believe I have found the new look that will be a staple aesthetic for my shop!

I found these gorgeous new hex/oval jars in which gave my shop an extravagant look! I design new labels, new wax, and new wicks! This unique candle jar design I found was perfect and untouched by a lot of candle creators. So it made me feel just a tad special hitting the mother load with these jar designs.

In all, I am very proud of this teeny tiny empire I have made and it brings me much joy to share such incredibly unique scents, aesthetic, and overall performance. I really want to focus on my brand in being gothic/elegant/luxurious without the "luxury" price tag!

I really hope you all read it through to this point and I truly thank you for it! I also hope you can take a look at my shop, I work very hard to make it to where I am now and I am currently going through some small changes right as we speak!
