As a Millitary brat, you have certain responsibilities many may not, but many upsides. Like having access to the neighborhoods pool on base or to one of my favorite Starbucks. But some down sides are moving, starting over, cant go certain places. My dad left for Korea when i was a child for short tour, (a year) an dit was hard for me to handle.

As any child who has a parent in the military, it’s hard for them to leave. A month can be difficult, but we can get the hang of it. A year is different. My mom is still with my dad, happily married, she’s never lived alone before. He was also the fixer of the house, if there was a stain, he would clean it. If the door broke, he would fix it. He was smart, and good at making things, he ran a small business selling things he had made out of wood. My dad was good at being a good boss, dad, and husband to my mom. Everyday i would sit in my room and think about the last hug me and my dad had before he left.
I will answer any questions or things u would want to know about being a military brat, or how life was. Maybe i will make another post idk ;D
