does platonic love exist?

whenever I bring up the topic, concept, or even idea of loving my friends, its always taken the wrong way. I think one big factor that affects that is that I'm bisexual but otherwise I really have no clue why people get at me so much for it. It also is especially an issue with my best friend. To me shes a kind caring very pretty girl and I love her...as my best friend. Its hard to say stuff like this without people thinking I like her. I just dislike so much how it has to be clarified every time. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!

what do yall think about this??

the concept of love has many interpretations. I kinda just see it as the lack of expectation and the ability to accept somebody for who they are. then you have the more chemical-in-your-brain "I feel all nice and fuzzy while talking to 'em" type love that most people think of. then you have straight lust which is entirely different but people often mistake for love.

but yeah it shouldn't be weird to say you "love" your best friend. in the sense that they don't have to do anything to be worthy of your care and attention outside of who they are naturally
